    Learn Vedic Astrology

Study Jyotish in our Online Vedic Astrology Course:

Learn Vedic Astrology online and master the fundamental and advanced concepts with confidence under the guidance of experienced teacher and astrologer Gaurav Dave. Our online Vedic Astrology Course is designed to make one a professional astrologer and/or instructor of Jyotish Shastra. Gain a better understanding of yourself with the divine knowledge of Hindu Astrology.

Vedic Astrology is a vast subject, and it takes time, dedication, and hard work to learn and master this divine knowledge. To learn Vedic astrology, one must first develop a solid foundation of its basic concepts by understanding their fundamental meaning. Gradually, things fall in line, and learning of this occult subject becomes quite natural. By relying on the cardinal concepts of the subject one can attempt to sail fearlessly in this vast ocean of knowledge.

The guidance of an experienced teacher helps one understand and digest the teachings of Vedic sages & seers. In lack of this, many students can lose their focus, thereby ending up in complete confusion and darkness.

The study of Vedic culture and its attributes enables one to comprehend and learn Hindu Astrology well because Jyotish is a Vedanga (part of Vedas). It means that the teachings of the Sanatan Dharma and Vedas reside at the very core of this subject.

Lord Brahma himself taught Jyotish to seers and sages for the benefit of all. They later taught this divine knowledge to their students, and the tradition continues today (Guru Shishya parampara). Even Devi Parvati has learned a lot of Vedic Astrology from Lord Shiva. Many Shastras have references to their discussions.

Maharshi Parashara (one of the most renowned authorities in Hindu astrology) teaches his student Maitreya, that for the welfare of humanity, the knowledge of Vedic astrology should only be given to people who are: peace-loving, devotees of their teacher, truth-speaking, and staunch believers in God. (Brihat Parashara Hora Shastra, BPHS).

The more you learn Jyotish, the better you understand yourself. You comprehend various circumstances around you and your fate. Later, through profound study and practical application of the knowledge in diverse real-life situations (Horoscopes), you can become a professional and help others with this divine knowledge.

By following the Vedic remedies yourself: you will first benefit from them and mitigate the problems of your own life. Consequently, your faith in divine knowledge will develop more and more with time. Subsequently, you will be able to heal others / help people, or help resolve their problems.

The source of all study material in our Vedic Astrology Course is classical Indian astrology books and Hindu scriptures (Vedas, Upanishads, Bhagavad Gita, Ramayana, Mahabharata, and various Puranas, etc). At appropriate places, the references are quoted for students to explore more of the subject matter.

To learn Vedic Astrology, some foundational, basic, and intermediate-level articles, and video lessons are available on this website for free. The material to learn Hindu Astrology will be updated frequently.

What is Jyotish or Vedic Astrology?

According to some, Jyotish is the boat that one can harness to traverse comfortably the vast ocean of life, full of uncertainty.

The knowledge body includes astronomy, all associated mathematics, logic, rational reasoning, etc.
